By 9 o'clock that night, any exhaustion I was cognizant and perceptive of had fled to somewhere deep in my subconscious. It's not that I didn't realize that underneath it all, my body required sleep and was tired. I knew that it was yearning to rest, but it didn't feel that way in my mind.
